How To Get Help Paying Rent In Nyc

Moving/Living In New York?
Hi, i currently live in the UK, and it’s my dream to move to NYC when I’m older. I’m 19, and i plan on moving within the next 3 years. The plan is to work for the next 2/3 years, and saving up the money i get, to be able to live off whilst I’m there until i find a suitable job.
Now for the questions…
1) How easy/hard is it to find a job in NYC? Now I’m not looking for a big/fancy job, just something small to keep me going e.g working in a restaurant, clothes store etc.
2) How much will i be looking to pay for the rent an apartment? I’ve been looking over the net and seen some that are going for around $800. Location would ideally be in the city (i figure this would be expensive) OR on the outskirts.
3) Do my plans seem realistic? Or am i getting in way over my head?
Any help is greatly appreciated
Your plans are unrealistic in that you can not just arrive in NYC and begin looking for a job as a foreign national. That is against the law and the terms of you visitors visa. You will not be able to get a work visa for general employment since no visa like that exists. You would have to gain employment before arriving in NYC and that employer would have to sponsor your visa.
